“Pivska Priča” Festival is one of the youngest yet most vibrant cultural and entertainment events in the Plužine municipality. Held during the summer in the stunning setting of Pivsko Jezero, it brings together lovers of good music, nature, and social gatherings.
The festival features performances by well-known musicians from Montenegro and the region, offering both locals and tourists a rich program that blends contemporary rhythms with the spirit of the Piva area.

Festival „Dani Pivskog jezera“
(Days of Piva lake)
The “Days of Pivsko Jezero” is a traditional annual event held every July, attracting numerous visitors eager for fun, sports, and socializing in unspoiled nature.
During the multi-day event, there are sports competitions, cultural and artistic programs, exhibitions of local products, and gastronomic offerings.
The highlight of the event is the rowing and swimming competition on Pivsko Jezero, symbolically connecting people and nature.
The event aims to promote Pivsko Jezero as a tourist destination and preserve the tradition of life by the water. It gathers children and young people, offering a wide range of activities and entertainment.
Ilindan Folk Fair at Trsa
( in honor of Saint Elijah)
The Ilindan Gathering at Trsa is one of the oldest traditional celebrations in the Piva region, held every year on August 2nd, in honor of Saint Elijah (in montenegrin – Sveti Ilija).
This event carries deep spiritual and cultural significance, bringing together locals, tourists, and visitors from across Montenegro and the region.
At Trsa, nestled beneath the mountainous heights of Durmitor and Vojnik, participants attend a liturgy, followed by a festive celebration with singing, dancing, and traditional dishes.
The Ilindan Gathering preserves the spirit of community and ancestral faith, blending religious tradition with folk customs.
Folklor Festival „Slađan Slađo Tijanić“
The “Slađan Slađo Tijanić” Folklore Festival is dedicated to preserving cultural heritage and honoring the memory of the prominent folk artist from the Piva region. It is held annually in Plužine and brings together folklore ensembles from Montenegro and the surrounding region.
Through dance, song, and traditional costumes, participants showcase the richness of folk traditions and the diversity of Balkan culture.
